mr super duck!

my new alter ego.
a continue on from my "duck can't wear shoes" who later got angry and started a war about not being able to wear shoes in "ducks war on discrimination" and then they all dies over the pointless reason for war in an artwork im yet to upload its it not quiet finished. the helmet was just abit of fun to me.. oh how i love to dress up.
on another note i dont feel like anyone looks at this page anymore. not at my gallery or anything so writing this at all is realy pointless and proves to me that i enjoy procrastinating and i have no real reason to do so. silly me.
next point, a way more exciteing point is that iw as accepted into syndey college of fine arts in rozelle (SCA) not only that but it was preliminary rounds AND to add to that i was able to get advanced standing which means i start in second year rather then first. woop!
To make my sydney life even better i have found a place to live with some beautiful and creative people into acrobatics and clowning and fire spinning which will no doubt inspire me to get back into my fire spinning and clowning so life shouldn't be as stressful as i thought in the big smokey city.
looking forward to all my none replies to this journal entry and all those non comments on my new artwork.. how exciting!

hugs, pub bands and night air

oh yay end of second year assessments!
just uploaded my very last paintings for my time at Newcastle Art school. Very sentimental i will miss the place and in particular the brilliant and talented friends i have made. i really hope i will see you all again!
please leave some critic type comments on my paintings. looking back i couldn't value the harsh critic more. from the time one of my so called friends told me a monkey with no hands could produce better artworks then the attempts i make (it will make him feel pretty pleased with himself that i remember that) to most recently when i was told my artwork shouldn't be in a gallery i have valued the attention and what they have to say, what they think and what people feel they need to bitch about. its the biggest motivation.

ok so heres a bit of an update
two of my new silkscreen pillow have sold already even though they are unfinished.. wow i love when that happens after a low in my self esteem
there was a bit of controversy over the hanging of my "party animals" in a gallery next to ripped corrigated cardboard that i scrawled the story of the party animals over... you know what im so happy about that. the amount of people who payed attention to it because it was "unconventional" for a "pristine" gallery made me smile and it payed off.. two more have sold from that lot of hand made creatures also so i couldnt be happier.
Also!! BIG NEWS! I have an interview for Sydney college of the arts.. i know its probably not a big achievements for most aspiring artists but ive worked so hard to get out of this little nurturing town of Newcastle and into the big scary world so its a huge step for me.. *does a dance*
im sure ive forgotten some things but youll live im sure just as you would have lived without the above information
